Short bio

Alex Oladele is a senior software engineer at Red Hat, working on Ansible Galaxy as part of the Ansible Automation Platform. He is a member of Black Python Devs and speaks at conferences about code review culture, Python, and practical engineering skills. He is passionate about mentoring and creating safe, inclusive spaces in tech. Outside of work he builds open source side projects and runs a homelab he is very proud of. He writes at alexo.dev.

Long bio

Alex Oladele is a senior software engineer at Red Hat, where he works on Ansible Galaxy as part of the Ansible Automation Platform. He studied software engineering at Miami University of Ohio and has been building things on the internet ever since.

Alex is a member of Black Python Devs and speaks at conferences and universities about code review culture, building with Python, and the practical skills that rarely make it into a curriculum. Past and upcoming stages include All Things Open, GitHub Universe, AfroTech, PyOhio, and a guest lecture at Ontario Tech University. He has been quoted by Business Insider.

He moderates a local Mastodon server in Raleigh, NC. Outside of work he builds open source side projects, from Discord bots to a local-first mood tracking app, and runs a homelab he is very proud of. He writes about all of it at alexo.dev.
